The Weiwei Machinery FPL-150 flat-die pellet machine is that machine. It runs on a 3 kW motor plugged into ordinary 220V single-phase household power, and presses 100-150 kg of pellets per hour — enough for a backyard flock and a small cattle pen alike. The whole unit measures 1050 x 320 x 850 mm and weighs 90 kg, so it rolls between shed and yard on its own wheels. Drive comes through a vehicle-grade rear-axle differential gearbox with double universal joints, the same idea as a truck driveline, which keeps the rollers turning steadily under load.
The recipe change costs nothing. For cattle and sheep, mix grass meal, crushed straw and a smaller proportion of concentrate; for poultry, shift the ratio toward corn and soybean meal and pass the mash through a finer screen first. Inside the machine, two alloy steel rollers force the material through the flat die, where friction heat gelatinizes the starch and binds a firm pellet. Die plates are interchangeable, so a 6-8 mm hole suits cattle and sheep while 2.5-4 mm suits chickens and ducks. The machine is wet-dry dual use: damp green chop and dry mash both pelletize.
