From Parts to Finished Machine on Our Workshop Floor: Workers Assemble the Weiwei Machinery 9ZR-6 Full-Feeding Chaff Cutter
Early in the morning, the assembly bay at the Weiwei Machinery factory in Xingyang, Henan, is already at work. Rows of orange feed hoppers stand along the floor waiting for their turn. In the middle of the bay, two workers fit parts onto the frame of a 9ZR-6 chaff cutter — one holding the housing steady, the other tightening bolts by hand. This is the stage every Weiwei machine passes through before it is packed: assembly, not just boxing and shipping.
Each 9ZR-6 comes together in a fixed order. The steel frame is levelled first, then the cutting chamber with its blade drum is mounted and the blades are bolted and checked one by one. The feed rollers that pull the grass in go in next, followed by the belt drive, which is aligned so the rotor turns freely by hand. Finally the motor is mounted on its sliding base so belt tension can be adjusted as the belts wear.
The 9ZR series is the full-feeding line: stalks and grass pass straight down between the feed rollers and the rotating blades, so one person can keep a machine fed continuously. The range runs from the 9ZR-2.8 (3 kW, 1-2.8 t/h) through the 9ZR-3 and 9ZR-3.8 up to the 9ZR-10 (15 kW, 10-12 t/h), and the 9ZR-6 sits in the middle of it at around 6 tonnes per hour — a size that suits cattle and sheep farms and silage contractors. Before any unit is crated, it is connected to power and run under no load to confirm the rotor, rollers and bearings run true.
Zhengzhou Weiwei Machinery Co., Ltd. has built feed and forage machinery since 1980 under EU CE and ISO9001 certification, exporting to the Americas, Africa and Southeast Asia. Buyers are welcome to visit the workshop and watch their own machines being assembled. For the 9ZR series, contact admin@weiweimachinery.com or WhatsApp +86 19838691608.
