The Weiwei 9ZRF-2.8 is built with a detail most factories skip: a grass catch plate (接草板). Fitted directly under the chain-and-roller gap, the plate catches the forage that would otherwise drop onto the motor and channels it back into the cutting chamber or out of the machine, so the motor stays clean and cool. It is a small part to add and an easy one to omit — which is exactly why other suppliers leave that gap open and the motor exposed.
The machine itself is a chaff cutter and rubbing machine in one: it cuts corn stalks, wheat and rice straw, fresh grass and silage into short lengths, then rubs them into a soft, silky finish cattle and sheep take readily. A 4 kW single-phase 220 V motor drives 1–2.8 t/h, overall size 1440 × 550 × 990 mm, and it weighs 96 kg — easy to move yet steady in use. The catch plate pays off most when you process fine or damp material that sheds the most offcuts.
For a small farm or feed yard, the catch plate means fewer motor repairs and less downtime across a long harvesting season.
