So the first question is not which machine is strongest, but how many hours a day you can keep it fed. Work backwards from your stock: 20 cattle on 8 kg of concentrate a day need about 160 kg, which an FPL-150 handles in under two hours. Running longer works only if the machine can be kept running. Check three things before you buy: are the wear parts cheap and quick to change; are the motor, bearings and belts standard sizes you can buy locally; do the guards come off with a few bolts. On a chaff cutter that means blades and hammers, on a pellet mill the die and rollers, on a rice mill the screen, on a cyclone crusher the hammers and screen. A spare set costs little and turns a two-day breakdown into a twenty-minute swap. Grease the bearings on schedule and never push past the rated feed rate.
The same logic applies to a line. A 0.5–1.5 t/h feed pellet line — crusher, mixer, conveyor and pellet mill on one frame — runs two shifts with one operator, instead of a larger line that needs three-phase power and a full-time crew.
