Weiwei Machinery's vegetable shredder takes that step off the hands and puts it on a motor. The machine is built around a rotating drum set with rasping teeth: clean tubers drop in the top, the drum shreds them into uniform filaments, and the pieces fall through to a basket or bag below. Four sizes cover every scale - the Model 40 runs on 1 kW for 1 ton/h in a 41 x 81 cm frame, the Model 50 uses 2.2 kW for 2 ton/h, the Model 60 uses 3 kW for 2.5 ton/h, and the Model 1200 reaches 10 ton/h on 11 kW in a 125 x 140 cm unit.
The work is simple on purpose. There is no heating, water circuit or chemical step - just a clean rasp that keeps the filaments even, which makes the next stage (pressing for starch, or mixing with feed) consistent. Farmers wash the tubers, drop them in, and collect a steady stream of shred ready for the press or mixer. The toothed drum is the only wearing part, and it is easy to reach and clean.
