Weiwei's vegetable shredder solves that with a vertical drum and a top-loading hopper. You drop cassava, potato, sweet potato, carrot, taro or cabbage into the hopper, and a rotating disc fitted with blades shears it into strips that fall out at the base. Three models cover different workloads: the 40 runs a 1 kW motor and shreds about 1 t/h, the 50 uses 2.2 kW for 1.5-2 t/h, and the 60 uses 3 kW for 2-2.5 t/h. The machines measure 41x41x81 cm to 62x62x90 cm and weigh 23-46 kg without the motor, so two people can move one.
Cutting discs come in 16 mm and 20 mm, which covers most feed and drying requirements: the finer disc suits pig and poultry feed and faster drying, the coarser one gives a chunkier strip for cattle or for sale. Because the drum is open at the top and the outlet sits low, cleaning between batches is quick, and there are no belts or gearboxes to adjust in normal use.
Zhengzhou Weiwei Machinery has built farm machinery since 1980 in Xingyang, Henan, to CE and ISO9001 standards, and exports to the Americas, Africa, Southeast Asia and South Asia.
