The principle is simple. Inside the crushing chamber, hammers shatter the grain against the screen. On the same rotor shaft, just behind the chamber, a fan disc carries a set of steel impeller blades — the vane plate. As the shaft spins, these vanes create a steady suction that pulls the ground meal out of the chamber, up the vertical pipe and into the cyclone above. The number and angle of the vanes set the airflow: strong enough to lift the lightest maize flour the full height of the pipe, but balanced so whole grain is never drawn through the screen unground.
Inside the cyclone, the spinning air column throws the meal against the tapered wall. The meal loses speed, slides down and drops straight into the cloth collection bag, while the fine dust stays in the air stream and is caught in the bag filter at the bottom. A well-balanced vane plate keeps this flow continuous — no meal settling in the pipe, no blowback at the hopper, and a bag that fills cleanly hour after hour. Because the vanes work in a dusty air stream, they are made as a replaceable wear part: a new set restores full airflow in minutes.
