Harvest season puts real pressure on farms across Africa, South America and Southeast Asia: hand-shelling maize is slow, labor-hungry and loses grain. Zhengzhou Weiwei Machinery (WEIWEI brand), a Chinese manufacturer with more than 40 years of experience in agricultural equipment, offers the 5TD-1000 multifunction thresher — a compact machine built to thresh corn fast, with the flexibility to handle a full rotation of other crops on the same farm.
The 5TD-1000 threshes corn at 2000–4000 kg/h, and switches easily to sorghum (800–1000 kg/h), soybean (800–1000 kg/h) and millet (700–900 kg/h). It runs on a 3 kW electric motor, weighs just 82 kg, and measures 1400 × 1500 × 1000 mm — small enough to move between plots or load onto a light truck, yet productive enough for cooperatives and small commercial plants. For areas with unstable power supply, a diesel-engine version is available, and Weiwei also offers the dedicated 5TY-60 and 5TY-650 corn shellers for farms that only need maize shelling.
