Two habits keep it running: the material going in must be dry and at room temperature — cold or damp sesame grinds badly and the oil separates — and the machine itself must stay water-free, so wash the body, never the grinding chamber, and dry any splash with warm air before restarting. After a batch, stop, open the cover and scrape the chamber out with a spoon.
