The WBC-6143 is a heavy-duty towable chipper on a 1,800 kg chassis, with an 8.6 m³ transport footprint of 3,940 × 1,750 × 1,250 mm. Power comes from a 60 HP HD4102 diesel engine with electric start and a 20 L tank, or from a 45 kW three-phase 380 V motor for fixed yards. Capacity is 2–5 tonnes per hour. The 43 cm rotor carries four A8 blades, 23 cm long, turning at 2,150 rpm, and accepts material up to 16 cm in diameter — 10–12 cm is the comfortable everyday range. The feed opening measures 43 × 23 cm, backed by a 31 cm-wide, 170 cm-long chain-plate conveyor.
Material is not simply thrown at the knives. A hydraulic feed roller, driven by a gear pump and hydraulic motor, grips the branches and pushes them in at a speed set by a throttle valve. A press roller compresses the bundle first, then fixed and rotating knives shear it into chips that a fan blows out through the discharge chute. The clever part is the electronic speed monitor: set the rotor to 2,200 rpm and, if a thick fork drags it below 1,800 rpm, a solenoid instantly stops the infeed until the rotor recovers — so the machine clears itself instead of stalling. A manual lever can still reverse the rollers if a piece jams.
The chips drop straight into a truck bed through a 360° adjustable chute, cutting haulage trips and labour. They go on to serve as garden mulch, compost feedstock, mushroom substrate, biomass fuel or particleboard raw material.
