The 5HX-2 is a batch circulating dryer on its own trailer. It takes a 2-tonne batch, holds 3.6 m³ of grain, and removes moisture at 1.8 % per hour — so paddy at 26 % comes down to a safe 14 % in roughly six to seven hours of circulating. Working principle is cross-flow, direct heating, with hot air between 0 and 120 °C. The whole unit measures 5,000 × 2,170 × 4,950 mm and draws 6.65 kW in total, which most farm sites can supply.
Grain goes in through a 20 t/h elevator and fills a single 1,000 mm drying section. An HY-10 direct-combustion oil burner supplies 10,000 kcal/h, and a 4-72 centrifugal fan running at 4 kW pulls the hot air through the grain column under negative pressure — so dust and chaff stay inside the dryer instead of blowing around the yard. The grain circulates, falls through the hot air stream again and again, and comes out evenly dried rather than scorched on one side. Because it is a batch machine, you can dry paddy today, maize tomorrow and wheat after that, with one operator and no building.
The trailer mounting matters more than it looks. The dryer can be parked beside the store during harvest, moved to the next co-op, or taken out of the weather afterwards. It also means no civil works: a level concrete pad, a power connection and a fuel supply are enough to start.
