The corn husker does the job with a roller drum. Cobs go into the feed hopper and drop into a chamber where two steel shafts and two rubber shafts turn against each other: the steel shafts grip and tear the husk, the rubber shafts push the cob forward without bruising the kernels. Husk and cob leave through separate outlets, so there is no sorting afterwards. The shaft gap is set with a screw-and-spring arrangement, which lets you loosen it for fat cobs and tighten it for small ones.
The quoted performance is a 95% husking rate with less than 2% breakage — the number that matters if the corn is going for seed, for sweet corn sales or into a dryer. Power is 2.2–3 kW on 220 V, the machine measures 940 × 350 × 620 mm and weighs about 50 kg, so two people can move it or it can be rolled on its wheels to the next pile. Output runs 1000–1500 kg/h depending on cob size and how dry the husk is.
