The four-compartment hand seeder and fertilizer combines those two passes. A 1370 × 420 × 900 mm steel frame carries four separate hoppers — the seed compartments and the fertilizer compartment are kept apart so the two materials never mix in the box — and meters both down the same tubes at the same time. Total weight is 12 kg, light enough for one person to push across a bed and to lift over a ridge or a bund.
Metering is by a manual drive shaft off the ground wheel: the shaft turns as the machine rolls, and the rate is set by the opening on each compartment. That is what produces the result the machine is sold on — even spacing along the row and a fixed quantity per metre, instead of the feast-and-famine stand that hand broadcasting gives. The seed rate and the fertilizer rate are adjusted independently, so the same unit can put down a light fertilizer band under maize and a heavier one under cotton.
The frame geometry follows the operator rather than the tractor: the handles sit at working height, the weight is carried over the axle, and the machine can be pushed at a walking pace for a full morning without the handles digging in on turns. It works on prepared beds and on flat ground, in small plots, terraces and garden strips where a tractor-mounted drill cannot enter.
One machine covers both jobs. With the seed compartments closed it is a straight fertilizer applicator for top-dressing or for base application before planting. With all four compartments open it sows and feeds in a single pass — small grain, vegetable seed, maize, soybean, peanut, cotton and millet are all within its range, which is why cooperatives and contractors buy one unit instead of three.
Weiwei Machinery has built agricultural machinery in Zhengzhou since 1980, holds CE and ISO 9001 certification, and exports to Africa, Southeast Asia, South Asia and South America. Implements ship in export cartons with spare metering plates, and we set the seed plates to the crop you actually grow before the machine leaves the factory.
Tell us the crops, the row spacing and the seed rate you want per hectare, and we will confirm the compartment configuration and quote it with the right plates. The full range of planters and seeders is on our homepage — send us a message on WhatsApp +86 13526462915 and you will have specifications, a working video and a price within 24 hours.
