One continuous crush - mix - elevate - pelletize - cool flow. Corn, sorghum, wheat, straw and grass meal are fed into the 600-60 hammer mill; the 37 kW rotor drives the hammers at high speed, beating and shearing the material against the screen until it passes through the 2-8 mm holes, and the airflow blows the meal up the conveying pipe into the Ø600 cyclone. The cyclone sits above the 2000U ribbon mixer and drops the meal straight in, so no dust escapes into the workshop. In the mixer the double ribbon shaft turns the meal over from both directions while premix, minerals, vitamins or medication are added, and one 500 kg batch is blended evenly in a few minutes. The blended meal leaves through the 300 x 300 mm slide gate into the Ø219 screw elevator, which lifts it at an angle to the pellet mill hopper. In the 300 flat-die mill the 30 kW motor drives the die through the V-belt and K97 gearbox; the three grooved rollers rotate on their own axes and roll over the meal layer, squeezing it through the die holes at high temperature and pressure, so the starch gelatinizes and the protein coagulates. The pellets are cut to length by the adjustable cutter and thrown out, then lifted by the bucket elevator into the SKLNS2.5 counter-flow cooler, where ambient air is drawn through the pellet column from bottom to top. The cooled, screened pellets are discharged for bagging.

This large-scale feed pellet production line is a complete five-stage plant built around the company's proven single machines: a 600-60 hammer mill with pneumatic conveying and a Ø600 cyclone, a 2000U horizontal ribbon mixer, a Ø219 screw elevator, one or two 300 flat-die pellet mills and a SKLNS2.5 counter-flow cooler with bucket elevator. The hammer mill uses a double inlet and a 37 kW motor, so bales of straw, corn cobs and grain can be fed from either side, and the screen is changed in minutes to switch between fine and coarse grinding. The 2000U mixer is a U-shaped trough with a double ribbon shaft and a ZQ400 reducer: it blends 500 kg per batch, and its full-width slide gate empties the trough completely, so there is no carry-over between recipes. The Ø219 screw elevator is a sealed tube with flange-jointed sections, a top handwheel tensioner and inspection covers, which keeps the powder inside and the maintenance simple. The 300 flat-die pellet mill runs three grooved hardened rollers over an alloy die, with an adjustable cutter for 3-8 mm pellets and a full belt guard; a second mill can be added on the same line to double the output. The SKLNS2.5 counter-flow cooler lifts the hot pellets with a bucket elevator and cools them with air flowing against the pellet flow, so the whole column cools evenly and the pellets come out hard, glossy and ready to bag. The whole line can be extended with a 4 m3 buffer bin and distributing screws, skirt conveyors, an SLX50-2 bagging machine and a pulse dust collector, and colour, voltage, capacity and layout are customized to the customer's site.
