Chaff Cutter (400-1200 kg/h) for Green Storage Feed, Hard Straw and Animal Feed
A chaff cutter is not limited to one kind of material. It handles a wide range of raw materials and turns them into green storage feed or processed hard straw, with both dry and wet material. Capacity ranges from 400 to 1200 kg/h, so the same machine covers small farms and larger feeding operations.
Fresh grass, crop straw and hard stalks can all be processed on the same machine. Wet material goes straight from the field to the cutting room without pre-drying, and dry straw is handled just as easily. This flexibility keeps the machine working across seasons instead of only during harvest.
The finished product comes out uniform in size. Hard crop straw can be crushed further and used as animal feed, so one machine covers both roughage preparation and feed processing.
The machine is driven by an electric motor, a diesel engine or a gasoline engine, and power reaches the main shaft through a belt drive. At the end of the spindle, a gear drives the other gears, the gearbox and the roller. Grass is pinched by the roller and fed into the crushing room, where the blades and hammers crush it at high speed, and the material is finally blown out by the air flow, so no extra conveyor is needed for discharge.
The moving knives are made of 65 manganese steel and can be used on both sides. They are sharp, tough and wear resistant, which gives them a long service life. Each moving knife is mounted at a set angle, so it cuts with less resistance and the machine saves power while delivering high output.
The fixed knife holder is made of national-standard unequal channel steel. The material is rigid and holds its shape under continuous load, so the fixed knife keeps a stable cutting gap and the holder lasts a long time.
