One Lifter, Two Pellet Mills: Weiwei Screw Conveyor with Double Discharge Outlets Cuts Cost and Saves Space in Small Pellet Plants
In a small feed or biomass pellet plant, feeding is often the bottleneck: raw material must be lifted from the ground into the pellet mill hopper continuously, and when a workshop runs two pellet machines, owners usually have to buy two separate conveyors. Zhengzhou Weiwei Machinery has solved this with a screw lifter equipped with double discharge outlets. As shown in the workshop photo, the vertical screw tube carries material up and divides it into two outlet pipes at the top, so one lifter can supply two pellet mills at the same time or alternately.
The lifter is available in 165 mm and 219 mm tube diameters, with lifting lengths from 2 m to 5 m to match different hopper heights. It is driven by a 3 kW three-phase motor (4-pole) and delivers a capacity of 500–1500 kg/h, enough to keep two small flat-die pellet mills fully fed. The whole unit is mounted on a tripod frame with casters, so it can be moved and repositioned easily; the inclined feed hopper at the bottom accepts powder and granular materials such as corn meal, grass meal, sawdust and wood chips.
The double-outlet design brings three clear advantages. First, it saves investment: one conveyor replaces two, cutting equipment cost and freight. Second, it saves floor space, which matters in crowded workshops. Third, it adds production flexibility — the operator can feed both pellet mills running the same die size for maximum output, or switch material between two mills with different die sizes (for example, feed pellets and grass pellets) without extra handling. With simple structure, low power consumption and easy maintenance, the double-outlet screw lifter is an economical upgrade for small pellet production lines.
